Dennis Wise
Founder and Chairman
Dennis is an active philanthropist and has built and donated buildings for the Fairbanks Community Food Bank, a 180 bed Rescue Mission and a 75 bed Wise Family Center in his hometown of Fairbanks. For their generous contributions to the community, Dennis and his wife Mary have been honored with numerous awards including the State of Alaska “Spirit of the Great Land” award in 2005 and the BSA Distinguished Citizen Award in 2007.
Dennis is an avid collector of hot-rod classic cars and motorcycles. Much of his collection of over 100 vehicles is proudly on display in Denali’s Scottsdale office and he never grows tired of giving tours and explaining the history of each vehicle. Dennis still actively participates in all Denali projects particularly as it relates to plumbing.
Michael P. Meath
President
Michael is integral in all acquisition, development, capital markets, pre-management, asset management and disposition functions. He also oversees the daily functions of running the Denali Family Office.
Prior to joining Denali National Trust, LLC in 2019, Michael served as Director of Acquisitions for Hannay Investment Properties, a privately-owned real estate investment firm in Phoenix, Arizona. While with Hannay, Michael led the acquisition and disposition of hundreds of thousands of square feet of office and retail properties in four states as well as Asset Manager for value-added projects throughout his tenure at Hannay.
Michael graduated Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Law and a minor in Real Estate from the W. P. Carey School of Business. Michael resides in Scottsdale with his wife and enjoys competition shooting, reading and spending downtime at his homestead in remote Alaska.
David C Dewar
Managing Partner of Denali Residential
David is integral in all acquisition, development, capital markets, pre-management, asset management and disposition functions for Denali Apartments.
David has developed and built more than 7,700 units and acquired more than 5,000 units.
David also serves as Managing Partner for Hyphen Development, a multi-family development company based in Phoenix. Previously as co-founder and Principal of Trillium Residential, where David headed up all acquisition, development, capital markets, pre-management, and asset management functions. Trillium won numerous accolades and awards and developed 3,219 units. He was also the co-founder of Magellan Real Estate Investments, acquiring 4,457 units, developing 3,847 units, as well as approximately 1,000,000 square feet of commercial office and a 1,240-acre master-planned community in Indio Ca.
David graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Architectural Science and a Certificate in Economics. He resides in Paradise Valley, Arizona, with his wife, and they have four children. David enjoys photography, fly fishing, food and hockey.
John M. White
CFO
John is the Chief Financial Officer and oversees the accounting, finance and treasury function for all of Denali’s interests.
John has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience in the real estate industry, having first worked with Denali National Trust as its controller from 1996 to 2004. Since that time, he has worked in various leadership roles with several notable real estate companies here in the Phoenix area including Related Urban Management, Red Development and Mark-Taylor Residential.
John received both his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. John lives in Cave Creek with his wife and two kids where he enjoys live music and riding his motorcycle.
David B. Rodgers
Project Manager
Dave joined Denali National Trust in 2003 to oversee the company’s growing construction and development functions in its Bellingham office and then its Scottsdale office. Dave currently oversees the development and construction of both multi-family and industrial projects in the greater Phoenix area. Throughout his career, his direct involvement in projects included both single and multi-family construction and development.
Dave began his construction career working for a small family-owned contractor in greater Seattle, WA. His progression through the trade ranks along with his willingness to learn led him into the new construction. By 1986 he had reached management level as a project superintendent for a highly regarded single family real estate developer based in Seattle. Dave was Head Project Superintendent for two 38 story Highrise condominium projects in downtown Seattle, He was the Head Superintendent for a 650,000 SF Air Force hangar at Malmstrom Airforce base in Montana.
He resides in Scottsdale and loves spending time with his family. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hockey.
James R. Lentine
President & CEO In Memoriam
Mr. Lentine began his real estate career in 1977 with the Realty Company of Alaska, serving as an associate broker for 15 years. In 1992 he joined Denali as its Vice President and was responsible for acquisition, leasing, disposition and development through 2003. In 2004 Mr. Lentine joined Avion Holdings, LLC, a Scottsdale based restructuring company until 2014 when he returned to Denali to serve as President and CEO of its parent company, Wise Enterprise Group, LLC.
Mr. Lentine was awarded the George Nehrbas Award from the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce in 1992 for his volunteer work in support of the military communities at Ft. Wainwright and Eielson AFB.
Mr. Lentine served as President of the Phoenix FBI Citizen’s Academy board of directors in 2003 and President of the Arizona Chapter of NAIOP in 2004.
Jim Lentine passed away suddenly in October of 2021. Jim was a pioneer, often credited with the creation of the “insta-suite” office leasing program. His innovation transformed office investment in Phoenix by substantially lowering turnover costs and rapidly increasing lease-up velocities thereby providing greater returns for investors. He was fearless but diligent in every venture that he pursued. Jim was a man who operated by strict moral code, defined by his desire to help others. His impact on our community was profound and will live on in the minds and hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jim’s principals and ethics will guide Denali’s ethos and investment strategies into the future.
